Founder of CariClub, Rhoden Monrose. A Millennial's Impact on the Workforce.

Founder and CEO, Rhoden Monrose moved from his native St. Lucia to New York at age 12. As a child living with his mother and sister in Harlem, Rhoden benefitted greatly from the services of nonprofit after-school programs, which helped him flourish both personally and academically, eventually leading him to the Middlesex School before earning a scholarship to Trinity College.

Rhoden learned how rewarding it was to help nonprofits while he worked at Citigroup as a derivatives trader. In 2013, he left Citigroup and founded CariClub to help other young professionals engage with nonprofits at a higher level.

Launched in 2015 in NYC and San Francisco, with more cities rolling out in the coming months, CariClub already has over 1,500 millennial members, and CariClub clients, including Citgroup and Deloitte, span financial services, consulting, legal and technology sectors. The CariClub network includes more than 1,000 non-profit organizations. CariClub was recently named by Built in NYC as one of “50 Startups to Watch in 2018,” and Rhoden was recently featured on Cause Artist as one of “14 Social Entrepreneurs of Color Making History Through Social Innovation.” CariClub was previously named by CB Insights as one of “21 Nonprofit and Charity Tech Startups to Watch.”
